what moves between us

an invitation to think, feel, and be together — in person, in Echo Park.

introducing MOVN salons at the backyard lounge:

living connections

at the intersection of psychology, philosophy, and social experience.

April 18

our inaugural salon features Meg Butler, a Rosen Method practitioner. her talk opens a conversation about touch, proximity, and the different kinds of knowing that become available when we actually feel ourselves — not just think about ourselves.

the evening

movn salons are softly structured evenings where conversation, listening, music, and food unfold around a 45-minute salon talk at the center of the night.

intimate, in person, and grounded in togetherness — this is a word-of-mouth gathering, small by design.

what moves between us

we are living through a time of profound estrangement. and yet here we are — drawn to each other, craving something that doesn’t have a name yet but feels urgent.

not a lecture. not a workshop. a social gathering — open and emergent — a collective form of sense-making — drawing on practices that came before us and continue beyond.

our salons create conditions for living presence — with one another, with a neighborhood, and with psychological life as it is evolving now. each person is a world unto themselves. these evenings explore what becomes possible when worlds meet.

featured speaker: Meg Butler

meg butler

Meg Butler is a certified Rosen Method Bodywork and Movement Teacher with a private practice in Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. She is a Senior Teacher at Rosen Method: the Berkeley Center, the flagship Rosen Method school, and has been instrumental in spreading Rosen Method in Southern California.

Rosen Method works through gentle, attentive touch — not to fix or correct, but to listen. it meets the body where it is and creates conditions for what has been held to begin to move. as Meg puts it:

Rosen touch listens to and meets the whole person, inviting what is unknown in us to be expressed.

an artist at heart, Meg’s creative and playful nature infuses her Rosen Movement classes with joy.
