Get in touch with yourself. We say it so casually.

Get in touch with yourself. We say it so casually. As if the self is "somewhere", just waiting to be reached.

Touch is how we come to know anything. All touching is bidirectional. A hand on a shoulder. Feet on the floor. The weight of your body in the chair, right now. Long before we had language, we learned who we were through contact: being held, being moved, being met.

Getting in touch may mean noticing what is already in contact. The jaw you've been clenching. The breath that stops short. The ease that arrives, sometimes, in the company of certain people.

Your body has been in touch with your life all along. It carries what you've moved through and what you're still holding. It responds before you decide to.

Sometimes the work isn't to find yourself. It's to stay in contact long enough to be changed.

MOVN offers embodied, relational telehealth therapy in California. Care that begins with contact.

There's a lot you can learn by looking inside. Man

There's a lot you can learn by looking inside. Many of us have spent years doing just that, trying to understand why we feel what we feel and do what we do.

Some problems are more persistent. The reaction that arrives no matter how well you understand it. The pattern you haven't been able to stop your whole life. When insight alone hasn't been enough, it may be because there is a lot more going on.

And yet even an inner life has an ecology. The inside "you" and the outside "world" are always already in each other.

You are a living system. Your mind, brain, body, self, history, relationships, environment, and the rhythms of your days are all participating. Each shapes the others.

There are more moves we can make. More leverage points. A shift in breath, in a relationship, in how you rest, in what becomes available to notice, can change what becomes possible next.

In therapy, we attend to how the pattern is organizing, what is participating in it, and where new movement becomes possible.

MOVN offers embodiment-centered telehealth therapy in California.

thank you @maro for the magical space of your music, the gift of your openness to us all, and the joy of your art

thank you @taylorguitars and the amazing Taylor folks for the GSmini - omg - i was speechless

thank you @elreytheatre for creating a place to
interact with so many beautiful and open people.

this is what i know from that night: there are some kinds of loss and grief that know no bounds and overflow - it just moves.

i think we felt it ALL that night. the love the pain the hope the joy. AND the freedom that comes from just being with it all. and i mean ALL of it

then i won that beautiful guitar and got to connect with one of the greatest artists of our time

crazy the way loss can heal us and open us to the new

in the right company

Burnout is a wicked problem. From the outside, eve

Burnout is a wicked problem. From the outside, everything may appear to be working.

Deadlines are met. Responsibilities are handled. People rely on you.

And the thing that carries you is a momentum that keeps you moving long after the resources that sustain it are gone.

This is burnout.

It doesn't always announce itself dramatically. Sometimes it arrives quietly, through tension, fatigue, irritability, sleep disruption, or the feeling that life has become something to manage rather than inhabit.

It doesn't have a single location or a single cause. It emerges from everything at once — your body, your work, your relationships, your history.

That's what makes it a wicked problem. And why it asks for a different kind of attention.

At MOVN, that's what we're about. Solving wicked problems. Asking for different kinds of attention.

Helping you get back to yourself.

MOVN offers embodiment-centered telehealth therapy in California.
